Academy Award winner for Barbarian Invasions by Denys Arcand, Cinémaginaire, is the dynamic production venture created by the fusion of two complementary talents – that of Denise Robert and Daniel Louis. Since its foundation in 1988, Cinémaginaire has more than thirty successful movies to its credit, many of which have won numerous awards on the international stage, including an Academy Award Oscar, three French César and a David di Donatello from Italy. The latest production, Fathers and Guns by Emile Gaudreaut has break all records at the box office and became the first French Canadian film of all-time to achieve such a high performance of being number one.

Daniel Louis finds himself in this quote. This Oscar and Emmy Award winner has over thirty-two years of experience in the field of cinema and has collaborated to over sixty productions. Appointed to France’s “Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres” and a member of BAFTA, he founded in 1988 the film production company Cinémaginaire with Denise Robert, producing over thirty productions.

LOUISE GENDRON

Before joining Cinémaginaire, Louise Gendron was head of programs at Télé-Québec She has been a film and tv producers, for more than 20 years. She has produced many successful prime time tv series, Réseaux, Scoop, Shehaweh, Les Intrépides. She has also done international co-productions, features films such as Being at Home With Claude and The Education of Little Tree, and documentaries among them: La peau et les os.
