Destin tordu : richard parent

Richard Parent was an illustrator, poster designer and outstanding artist. He died from cancer on August 5, 1993 at the age of 35, just as the Paris metro was preparing to mount an exhibition of his works, and while he was still just as unknown within the Quebec artistic milieu as to the general public. In 1983 he launched the Quebec Illustrators Association, along with its well-known annual directory. He illustrated covers for Canadian, American and European magazines, as well as for novels by internationally renowned authors. This documentary sets out to shed some light on Richard Parent, the man… someone who chose to live life without compromise.
